I joined the team in May 2026 as the Head of North Yorkshire Together; North Yorkshire Together is a partnership between North Yorkshire Sport, North Yorkshire Youth and Rural Arts. My role is to champion partnership working, embrace innovation and increase our profile, seeking new opportunities for the partnership, extending our impact and visibility, and providing inspiration and direction to staff working on North Yorkshire Together projects. It’s a challenge I was absolutely thrilled to start working on!
I’ve had over 20 years’ experience of working in the VCSE sector and my career has spanned frontline practice, leadership, and strategy development. Previously I worked for 10 years at SASH, the youth homelessness prevention charity, where I completed a level 5 apprenticeship in Operational Leadership and Management. My favourite quote is ‘be the change you want to see in the world’.
I’ve lived and worked in North Yorkshire since 2003, having moved here from my home town of Leicester, after I graduated from Newcastle University with a BA (Hons) in English Literature. I am a proud mum of 2 and an equally proud stepmum to my 2 adult stepdaughters. I have lived experience as a parent and carer of a SEND child and so inclusivity and accessibility is a personal passion of mine. Our homelife is busy and chaotic with 2 teenagers, pets and all of us having various hobbies involving art, music, and sport – so my role is a perfect reflection of all that makes us the family we are.
