I joined the North Yorkshire Sport team in February 2012 as the Administrator Assistant which I thoroughly enjoyed supporting all team members. In 2018 I was able to sidestep and take on the role of Finance Assistant. I really enjoyed the finance side of the business, and I was encouraged by the Finance Manager, Karen to develop my finance skills. After gaining my AAT Level 2 and other financial certificates I was promoted to Finance Officer.
When I’m not working, I spend quality time with my family. We love our holidays where we can go on long forest walks and enjoy all the nature around us.
Whilst working at North Yorkshire Sport one of the best things I’ve seen is the difference it makes in people’s lives. When I was working on the Action Towards Inclusion project it was so wonderful to see the participants journey and how far they had come.
My favourite sportsperson has to Bret Hitman Hart.
