Oatlands Infant School – Harrogate

While working with school leaders we have assisting in establishing a staff fitness suite to support workforce wellbeing. In order to provide resources for SEND pupils we have worked with the school to offer movement breaks and sensory circuits to stimulate and engage pupils and contribute to self-regulation. Through OSF support the school are now utilising the existing workforce to deliver targeted holiday provision to vulnerable families. OSF funding has also enabled access to training to increase workforce knowledge and skills (i.e Bike bus marshal training) and further develop the school bike library resources to meet demand of school community. The school have also been able to offer formal cycling lessons and bike repair services to pupils and community as well as providing free after school clubs for targeted pupils.

Alongside this we assisted the school in providing additional fitness suite equipment for pupils and community users. Rossett Adult Education centre now has access to the equipment in order to provide fitness sessions for the local community.

Archbishop Holgate – York

Alongside support the offer of beginner swimming lessons (based on the increase of non swimmers increasing in school yearly) we have helped the school provide alternative after school clubs to inspire the least active. This includes Cheer, Table tennis, Dance and Gymnastics. We worked with the school to look at the wider benefits of community provision, this led to discussions around investing in ball court floodlights to meet the demand of local Netball Clubs/leagues. This has allowed use of the school facility through the winter months and during the evenings.
