We are currently seeking an EYFS/KS1 Team Leader to join our Early Years
Foundation Stage (EYFS) teaching team. If you’re passionate about working with young children and have the energy and creativity to make a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you!
Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a classroom teacher looking for extra work in the school holidays to join a vibrant team of PE specialists. The role will suit:
– Primary School Teachers or experienced HLTA’s with a passion for sports and coaching.
– Secondary PE Specialists looking to transition to primary-level teaching.
You will be responsible for delivering sports, activities and craft sessions working closely with Team Leaders across Sporting Influence Camps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver High-Quality Sessions: Plan and deliver engaging games, activities, and arts and crafts sessions that captivate, and delight children aged 4–7.
- Encourage Creativity: Introduce and develop a repertoire of age-appropriate games and activities, encouraging children to explore, play, and express themselves.
- Encourage Relaxation: Create calming, enjoyable arts and crafts sessions that provide children with something meaningful to take home.
- Supervise Safely: Lead a group of up to 16 EYFS/KS1 children, supported by a camp assistant, ensuring all activities are conducted safely.
- Be a Role Model: Bring enthusiasm, energy, and a bubbly personality to the role, engaging with children on their level and actively participating in their fun.
- Maintain Professional Standards: Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed, including managing transitions such as sign-in, meal breaks, and pick-up times.
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a childcare professional who can demonstrate:
- Strong social skills to build positive relationships with schools and pupils.
- Experience delivering PE and sports coaching to primary-aged children.
- Organisational skills, reliability, and strong communication abilities.
- A desire to inspire children through sports and other activities.
- Commitment to professional development, both personal and for the team.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification.
- Proven experience working within the EYFS framework with children aged 4–7.
- A genuine passion for working with young children, with the ability to engage them in both active and creative activities.
- Willingness to develop and innovate games and activities in line with Sporting Influence’s ethos.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable Qualifications:
– Paediatric First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate.
– Sports-related degree.
– Further National Governing Body qualifications.
Next Steps:
